Step 3: Dig it up

Now that you know how big your patio will be and what materials you'll use, it's time to start digging. Remove any grass or other vegetation from the area where your patio will be located, and dig down about 6 inches. This will create a solid foundation for your patio and prevent it from shifting over time.

Step 4: Lay it down

Now it's time for the fun part: laying your patio! Start by spreading a layer of Type 1 MOT over the area you just dug up to a depth of 100mmm. This will level out the ground and create a smooth surface for your patio. Then, start laying your pavers or bricks in the pattern you've chosen. Don't forget to use a level to make sure everything is even!

Step 5: Seal it up
